So we hit the road again and went to the Ice Cave and Bandera Volcano. These were great. We did a small walk (but you would think it was 10 miles the way the kids where whining) up to the edge of the Bandera Volcano. It was awe inspiring. Then we walked down to the ice cave. It was incredible. You go down 75 steps to a open cave that has 20ft of ice frozen on the floor. The temp never goes above 31 degrees year round. I could have stayed down there all day.
Then we went like a bat out of hell to make it to the Painted Desert before sunset but by the time we got there it was closed but we still were witness to one very awe inspiring sunsets.
We went to our campground after that and made a nice pasta dinner that at that time was what Erika said was "one of the best dinners I ever had". I think it was because it was 11:30 EST when we ate it. Lol. Then we went inside started watching National Lampoons Vacation and we all passed out for the night. I just posted this at 9:22pm MST. I am barely on any kind of connection so I will write another post shortly but I will post photos tomorrow. Get ready for some good ones. Took over 800+ today alone.
