Got up this morning very early to take care of some work stuff 5:30am local time. Worked on some pictures for an hour or so and let the family sleep a few longer.
Once we all got up we washed up ate something and got ready to go back to the edge of the canyon. I went and finally shaved off my Grizzly Adamsq beard Erika said I had.
We hiked down the South Kaibib Trail part of the way down the face. We went down perhaps 600 ft before we decided to come back up. It's the trail they take the mules down so not only did we have to watch our footing, we had to watch for mule dung as well. The walk back up was way worse and just shows me how out of shape I am. Once we got back up we rode the bus back to the visitors center and drove back to our camper. We hooked up and drove to Navajo Point and ate lunch overlooking the canyon.

The last place we went in the canyon was Desert View. Was a watch tower overlooking the canyon 4 stories high. Was a great way to end our trek.

We are now on our way to Four corners and Mesa Verde driving across some barren but beautiful land. Homes are very few and far between. I could never live in a climate like this.
